Our Founder

Apostle Helen Smith was born on June 26, 1929, in Beaufort, SC. Her mother Hattie Smith gave birth to a beautiful bundle of joy and named her Helen. She was the second of nine children. Helen received her formal education in the public schools of Yemassee, SC and Beaufort County. She also received her Cosmetology License in 1952. In August 1944, Helen was converted. In October 1944, she was baptized.

Helen moved to Charleston, SC where she met and married the late Elder James Smith. To this union, four children were born.

During a service in 1969, God spoke to Sister Smith telling her that she was the Apostle of this church. Months later, she consecrated as the Apostle of the Cainhoy Miracle Revival Center. The Revival was a Crusade, in which more than 30 souls received the Holy Ghost. Two weeks later, in Tibwin, another Revival was held. Souls were saved, people were delivered, miracles were wrought and the word of God went forth with power and determination. Through these many revivals, many churches were formed.

The Cainhoy Miracle Revival Corporation came into existence 31 years ago by the leading of the Hold Spirit; Apostle Helen Smith founded and was the overseer of 14 churches in the United States of America and 2 churches in Trinidad, West Indies.

Truly, on Tuesday, August 31, 1999, at 4:20 am, Apostle Smith heard and responded to the sound of the trumpets!

She went home to be with the Lord.

Our Pastor

Apostle Larry Brown comes from humble beginnings in Spartanburg, SC. As an only child, he was very studious, intellectual and goal-oriented. His perseverance in education propelled him to excel in school or whatever he undertook. He received many accolades on the road to academic success. A few months after graduating from the Dorman High School, Larry enlisted in U. S. Air Force. For twenty-eight years, he served our country, with pride and honor!

Larry married the love of his life, Sandra K. Brown, an Educator and the Elect Lady of the Cainhoy Miracle Revival Corporation. They had four children: Helen is a Captain in the U. S. Army; Larry, Jr. (deceased); Giovanni is a Police Officer in the city of North Charleston; and Timotheus, currently enrolled at Trident Technical College.

On the road to academic success, Larry attended the Trident Technical College and received an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice. In, May 2008, Larry received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Religion, from Charleston Southern University. Also, he received a Masters Degree in Theological Studies, at Liberty University.

In May 1980, Larry Brown was ordained as the Pastor of the Summerville Miracle Revival Center; Summerville, SC. He still maintains this position.

Many years prior to her Home Going, Apostle Smith named, trained and instructed her successor…Pastor Larry Brown. On June 2, 1996, he was consecrated as a Bishop. Immediately upon her demise, Bishop Larry Brown stepped up to the helm, to keep Ministry on course!

On October 9, 1999, he was consecrated and installed as the Apostle of the Cainhoy Miracle Revival Corporation.

Apostle Larry Brown loves the Lord and follows the leading of the Holy Spirit. As a man of prayer, praise and worship, He has implemented several yearly Services to keep Ministry diligent, equipped and prepared for the coming of the Lord! He, like the Apostle Smith, focuses mainly on Outreach. He often states, “The purpose of the Church is to win souls and advance the Kingdom of God!”

Apostle Brown believes that everyone in the Church has a job to do. Second to soul-winning, Outreach Ministries are essential, vital and crucial in the Kingdom of God. Each Church, Pastor, and Coordinator is responsible for training and equipping the Saints for the work of the Ministry. He is a firm believer if the Body of Christ is working, there will be no time for meddling in the affairs of others!

He is an anointed teacher, preacher, counselor, administrator, intercessor and above all a worshiper! He spends quality time with God and His Word! God has blessed him with wisdom, knowledge, and understanding.

Evangelism is at the core of his heart…witnessing and soul winning. The elderly and youth also hold a special place in his heart.

As our Overseer, Chief Executive Officer of the Cainhoy Miracle Revival Corporation and Leader, he keeps us abreast as to where we stand with Bible Prophecy, Current Biblical Events, and the Bible Time Line; while seeking God on our behalf, to keep us prepared to meet our soon coming King!

We thank God for our Great Leader, the Apostle Larry Brown, a man of God; chosen, anointed and appointed to the Kingdom of God and this Ministry, for such a time as this!
