Galatians 3:1-6
- They had not received the Holy Spirit by obeying the Jewish Law.
- They began their Christian lives in the power of the Spirit, they should also grow by the Spirit’s power.
- We grow spiritually because of God’s work in us by His Spirit, not by human efforts.
- While certain disciplines help us grow (Bible Study, Prayer, Service), they must not take the place of the Holy Spirit.
- Real children of Abraham are those who have faith, not those who keep the law.
- Abraham himself was saved by his faith.
- When the gospel is preached, the Spirit of God works in people’s hearts to bring them to faith.
- Being a Christian starts and continues as a matter of faith
